Teacher Conferences
Over the next couple of weeks I will be running teacher conference sessions where I will be catching up with each student to check up on how they are going with everything: Digital Portfolios, spelling wordbanks, file management (make sure all your files and folders are tidy and named appropriately), iCal, daily goal and term goal.
Can you please select a time slot on the Etherpad for your meeting. Fill in your name, but make sure you don't change any other names around. Remember, you will come to this meeting with all the above mentioned up to date. You will bring to this meeting your laptop and your red workbook.
Set up iCal for the week (tasks at home to complete: Symmetry activity, Prezi, Biggest Loser activity, spelling, maths, reading, Digital Portfolio)
Set goal for the day - think about your goal for the term (is there something you can work on today to get you closer to your goal?)
Maths:
Complete next lot of Maths Mentals questions and correct with teacher.
Triangles activity - using the sheet given to you come and the notes that you took on Friday about triangles, cut out the triangles and paste them in your maths books in groups of like triangles. Label your groups. Remember, some of the triangles on your sheet won't fit the criteria - do you need to make a separate group for these triangles?
Complete set Mathletics activity.
MJR:
Last MJR session we started looking at good and bad people skills.
Get into a group and make a movie displaying good or poor people skills to show to the class.
Mid-morning session

'UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.' - The Lorax (Dr Seuss)

Share your responses with the rest of the group.

Go for a walk around the school and find objects with lines of Symmetry.
Take 4 photos: 1st- 1 line of symmetry 2nd - 2 lines of symmetry 3rd - 3 lines of symmetry 4th - 4 lines of symmetry
Display in Comic Life and label each photo with how many lines of symmetry it has.
Today you will work on the following activities - you need to make sure each one is complete before you go onto the next one. Choose wisely who you are sitting next to so that you work well for the day and get lots achieved.
